Turn Your SAP Knowledge into Project-Ready Skills
Completing an SAP course or certification helps you understand SAP concepts, terminology and business processes. However, employers may also expect you to understand how an SAP implementation project works and how to contribute to project documentation, testing, stakeholder discussions and deployment activities.
The SAP Project Readiness Program helps learners bridge the gap between SAP knowledge and practical project participation.
Through a structured 12-week practicum, you will work through a simulated SAP implementation from project discovery to deployment and support. You will create practical project documents, apply SAP Activate methodology, explore SAP-focused AI tools and prepare to explain your project work confidently during interviews.
About the SAP Project Readiness Program
The SAP Project Readiness Program is designed for learners who have already completed foundational SAP training or developed equivalent SAP knowledge but need practical exposure to SAP project activities.
Rather than learning through disconnected lectures, participants work through one continuous simulated SAP client engagement.
The program follows the SAP Activate lifecycle and introduces the documents, workshops, decisions and responsibilities commonly found within SAP implementation projects.
Participants learn how to contribute to activities such as:
By the end of the program, participants will have developed a structured portfolio of SAP project deliverables that can support their interview preparation and professional development.
SAP courses and certifications can provide valuable theoretical and system knowledge. However, SAP project teams also require professionals who understand how business requirements, configuration decisions, testing activities and project documentation connect throughout an implementation.
The SAP Project Readiness Program gives participants an opportunity to practise these activities in a structured simulated environment.
You will learn how to:

After completing the 12-week SAP Project Readiness Program, participants continue into a structured three-month simulated internship.
The internship provides a second simulated client engagement completed with mentor guidance.
Participants will receive:
Use “simulated internship” consistently throughout the website unless Toronto Innovation College has a confirmed external employer internship agreement.
Job requirements differ by employer, industry, SAP module, education and previous professional experience.
The SAP Project Readiness Program is a 12-week practical SAP training program that includes a simulated SAP implementation, SAP Activate methodology, project documentation, SAP AI training, portfolio development and career coaching.
No. The program does not replace official SAP module training or certification. It helps participants apply their existing SAP knowledge through practical simulated project activities.
The program includes 12 weeks and 50 instructional hours, followed by a three-month mentor-supported simulated internship.
Participants should ideally have completed introductory SAP training, an SAP course, certification preparation or equivalent foundational learning.
Participants work through structured simulated SAP client engagements. The projects are designed to reflect common SAP implementation activities but should not be described as external client employment.
This program does not require approval under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.
